Our Mindful Promise:
Cultivating Beauty with Conscience
Flowers with a True Sense of Place.
Founded by grower and flower photographer Sarah Cox, Clamerkin Wild blossomed from a small, cherished cutting patch into a vibrant flower farm that evokes the gardens and natural landscapes of the Isle of Wight.
The Star of Late Summer: My Daucus and Strawflower Wreath
Late summer on the farm is a funny mix of two things: making the most of what's left of the season, and starting to look ahead to next year. Here's what I made with the last of this year's Daucus carota — a seed head wreath, built while it was still green, on a woven wisteria base.
Plants for Free: How I Collect and Save Seed for Next Year
There's a side to flower farming that never makes it into a finished bunch of flowers. While most of the farm winds down for the year, the real work is happening quietly — judging which seed is ripe, what to sow now versus save for spring, and which varieties actually earned their place this year.
Saying It With Flowers: Meaningful Flowers for Every Occasion on the Isle of Wight
This month's orders have been a reminder of what flowers do best: saying the things words can't. From a mother's message to her son's new island home, to funeral tributes designed with care, here's how Clamerkin Wild has been saying it with flowers this month.
Spend a Creative Day on a Flower Farm, Whatever the Weather
Have you ever wondered how to make a hand-tied bouquet, paint a watercolour, or write using nature as your inspiration? At Clamerkin Wild we have created a studio space on our Isle of Wight flower farm where you can do all of this and more, whatever the weather.
Planning a wedding or special event?
Wedding flowers set the tone for your special day, reflecting both personal style and the natural beauty of the season. From delicate blooms to lush foliage, choosing the right floral arrangements can transform venues and create memorable moments.
Clamerkin Wild…
Growing flowers allows me to connect creativity with the rhythms of nature. I’m learning every day — about floristry, about sustainability, and about how flowers can bring people together.
Buy British, Buy Local Flowers
Local flowers aren’t just fresher; they’re kinder to the planet. They’re grown without long-haul flights, they support small farms, and they capture the natural beauty of our seasons.
Our Growing Practices
Working with the seasons keeps us rooted in nature’s rhythm. Spring brings tulips and narcissi, summer bursts with dahlias and wildflowers, autumn gives us rich textures and seed heads, and winter invites us to create with evergreens and dried blooms.
How to Make your own Beautiful Wreath this Christmas
Start with a sturdy willow or wire base. Layer in evergreens like fir, pine, or holly for structure and scent. Add texture with seed heads, berries, and even a touch of dried flowers for contrast. Finally, finish with a ribbon or bow that feels festive and personal.
